Eric LaRoye’s passion for photography started already in his early age, and he enjoyed it ever since.

In 2023 he started to show and sell his photos, and participated in the PrintMarket 2023 & 2024 of HET OBJECTIEF (Ghent), and was also nominated for the Quadrennial Barbaix Prize for Photography 2023 (on the theme of trees) in Sint-Martens-Latem.

Before his entrance on the Art Photography scene, he started in Belgium, in 1983, as a independent designer in ‘Collectible Design’.
Later on, in 1989 till 1994, he followed, as a free student, the courses of Jewelry design, gold- and silversmithing at the ‘ Sint Lucas Paviljoen ‘ (Karel de Grote Hogeschool) in Antwerp, to become in 1994 an artist of Contemporary Objects and Jewelry.

In both fields, Collectible Design and Contemporary Jewelry, he participated, at home and abroad, in various master courses, competitions, and / or exhibitions .

As an extension to his arts practice, he will present this year a solo show of his recent photography works.
